Exeter Social Circle
Make new friends in Exeter.
A relaxed social group for people in their 20s in and around Exeter. Whether you've just moved here, you're studying, working full time, or simply want a wider circle of friends — this is a low-pressure way in. No cliques, no forms of judgement, just regular meetups: board games, walks, pub quizzes, casual sports and food socials. This is a community-run group, started by locals in their spare time — not a company or events business, just people building something genuine together.

The essentials
Group rules.
Simple rules that keep things friendly, respectful and low-pressure for everyone.
01
Be respectful, keep politics out
No bullying, harassment, racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia or personal attacks. Keep political debates out of the group too — this is a social space, not a place for rows.
02
Friendships first, keep DMs sensible
Not a dating site. Don't join just to flirt, chase people, or message in ways that make people uncomfortable. Message people normally and respectfully — if someone isn't interested, leave it there.
03
No spam, no advertising
Don't flood the chat with repeated messages, random links or unrelated promotions. This also isn't a space to promote your business, services, other groups or side hustles.
04
Respect event plans
If you say you're coming, try to turn up or let people know if you can't make it.
05
Look out for new people
A quick hello goes a long way — the whole point is to make joining feel less awkward.
06
Admins can step in
Failure to follow these rules may lead to admins removing messages or members to protect the group.
